Local Students Head to Washington, D.C. this Summer
Four high school juniors: Mackenzie Morrow, Alyssa Hibbert, Lillian Tillman, and Xavier Drinkwine (pictured left to right), will be heading to our nation’s capital this summer for a visit. They will represent JOEMC at this year’s Electric Cooperative Youth Tour in Washington, D.C. Each year, more than 1,800 student leaders from electric cooperatives like ours visit Washington, D.C., to learn more about our nation’s capital and the cooperative way of doing business, interact with elected officials, and have fun meeting students from across the country. As a community- focused organization, we proudly invest in our future local leaders through the Youth Tour to Washington, D.C.
